Time to get sewing! Sewing instructions
SEWING THE OUTSIDE & INSIDE POCKET
STEP 1
Unless otherwise specified, a seam allowance of 1 cm is used for sewing.
Fold the fabric for the outer pocket on the right along the fabric break for the bottom of the bag. Stitch and sew the side seams together. Leave the corner at the bottom of the bag open. Repeat on the other side of the outer pocket.
SEWING THE OUTSIDE & INSIDE POCKET
STEP 2
Fold the open corner of the outer pocket so that the side seam meets the original fold of the bottom of the pocket. The open cut edges line up. Pin and sew the opening.
Use the same procedure for the inner pocket.
ASSEMBLE THE BAG
STEP 3
Turn the inner pocket to the right and slide it into the outer pocket so that the right fabric sides of the inner and outer pockets meet. Push the open edges of the upper pocket opening together so that the side seams of the inner and outer pockets meet. Sew all around, but leave a turnaround opening of approx. 8 cm.
ASSEMBLE THE BAG
STEP 4
Turn the bag through the opening and close the opening with a hand stitch. Turn the pocket right side out and if necessary slightly flatten the edge of the pocket opening with the iron from the left.

SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 5
Cut a 2 m long piece of the webbing and put the webbing on the bag at one point as explained in the following steps. To prevent the cutting edges of the webbing from fraying, they can be heated slightly with a candle or lighter. This melts any protruding threads.
Attach the webbing to the bottom of the bag at a distance of 3.5 cm from the bottom seam.
SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 6
Continue pinning the webbing straight towards the pocket opening. Keep a distance of 11 cm from the side seam.
SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 7
Place a 27 cm long bag handle at the opening of the bag and then push it back towards the bottom of the bag at a distance of 11 cm from the side seam. Continue in this way until the end of the webbing meets the beginning.
SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 8
Fold over the end of the webbing strap and secure approx. 1 cm overlap over the start of the webbing. Now sew the webbing onto the bag. Start at the opening of the bag and sew it on with a short edge at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge.
SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 9
Secure the webbing strap to the bottom of the bag with a stabilising cross. The seam should be the same length as the bottom of the bag (14 cm).
SEW SHORT HANDLES
STEP 10
The short pocket handle can be folded and sewn twice for a more comfortable grip. To do this, fold the webbing strap in the middle over a length of approx. 12 cm so that the outer edges meet. Then sew at a distance of 3 mm from the edge of the webbing.
SEW THE LONG HANDLE
STEP 11
Cut the remaining webbing strap to the desired length so that the bag can be carried crosswise if desired. Add 12 cm to the desired end length, in order to sew the webbing strap. Fold the ends of the webbing inwards by 1.5 cm and centre them on the side seam at a distance of 5 cm from the pocket opening and sew. Again, work with a stabilising cross. As an option, the short pocket handles at the pocket opening can also be equipped with a stabiliser cross.
